Zach Safir
Zach joined PMC Capital’s parent company, PMC Global in 2021, where he serves as a Board Advisor. At PMC Capital, Zach co-leads sourcing, transaction execution, capital markets, and value creation.
Before joining PMC Global and PMC Capital, Zach founded and led ZBS Enterprises, a financial and management strategy consulting firm, with clients in the real estate, pharmaceutical, sports, consumer, and media industries. As part of his consulting work, Zach spent 4 years working with the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA) and its for-profit subsidiary, Major League Baseball Players, Inc (MLBPI), focusing on generating revenue from the licensing of players’ names, images, and likenesses (NIL). He advised MLBPA and MLBPI on the structuring and creation of OneTeam Partners, their joint venture with the NFL Players Association and Redbird Capital Partners, in addition to OneTeam and MLBPI’s investments in private companies.
Prior to forming ZBS Enterprises, Zach was a Vice President in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs & Co, where he advised financial institutions including banks, financial technology companies, brokerage firms, aircraft lessors, and specialty finance companies.
Zach received a BA with distinction in History from Yale College, an MBA from Columbia Business School, and a JD from Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. Zach is a member of the New York State Bar.
A Los Angeles native, Zach is an avid fan of the Los Angeles Kings and the players of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
